Curling, skating rinks and exciting toboggan descents can also be found nearby, along with romantic rides on horse-drawn sleighs.
All 128 rooms and suites of the Tschuggen Grand Hotel have been designed by Swiss architect Carlo Rampazzi and enchant with their eclectic style and breathtaking views of mountains, forests or the glass sails of the Tschuggen Bergoase Spa. Fine cuisine can be enjoyed at four different restaurants on site, including the modern "fine fast food" restaurant, The Basement, where after 9pm the in-house bowling alley lights up. La Collina Restaurant with its sunny terrace and fresh, local fare.The Grand Restaurant with its daily menu. And the award-winning fine-dining restaurant, La Brezza, where chef Marco Campanella’s creative and daring creations have helped him sauté his way to a second Michelin star.
Designed by the world-renowned Swiss architect, Mario Botta, the Tschuggen Bergoase spa is a wellness oasis set across 460m². Alpine granite, handcrafted maple wood and Arosa rock elegantly combine to create a mountain sanctuary. Set across four floors, and with glass sails rising from the mountainside, guests can indulge on treatments designed to promote stillness, wellbeing and restoration of mind and body.
In summer, activities include playing golf on one of Europe's highest golf courses, taking part in balloon trips, paragliding or setting off on one of the nearby hiking trails.
