Unlike its little ‘sister’ town Klosters, Davos is more cool than quaint. After all, it is home to Switzerland’s first Hard Rock Hotel and is renowned for its monster ski runs and après-ski parties.
Another reason Davos is "on the map" is that it’s home to the World Economic Forum - the annual meeting point for the ‘crème de la crème’ of global leaders.
Geopolitics aside, visitors come to Davos - Europe's highest town - for its spectacular untouched glacial valleys, alpine lakes, family adventures and train rides across historical viaducts.
